Organize Your Own model CHOGM

There are many options to consider in developing your vision for a model CHOGM:

You can choose to host a model CHOGM at your school, university, or in a community space

You can organize a model CHOGM with friends, or an existing club or organization (such as a local RCS Branch, a debate club, or Model UN organization)

Will it be a one-day, two-day, or longer event?

What will your audience be? Typically model CHOGMs are created for middle school students, high school students, or university students. Sometimes CHOGMs combine senior high school students with university-aged youth. Model CHOGMs targeted at young professionals are also an option.

To organize your own model CHOGM, request: our NSCF based guide to running a model CHOGM; online access to our website resource material for recent THEMES; and mentoring from NSCF Alumni by Emailing: Chair@RCS-Ottawa.ca

The Royal Commonwealth Society in London also provides some resources on how to organize a model CHOGM (also known as a Commonwealth Summit) here. https://thercs.org/youth-and-education/model-commonwealth-summits/
