Our Program

The National Student Commonwealth Forum, held annually in May for more than 40 years, brings together approximately 100 Canadian high school students for a week in Ottawa. These young leaders of tomorrow will build leadership skills, while discussing and learning about international affairs and the Commonwealth. The program will include an amazing Commonwealth race through the streets of Ottawa, team-building, a cultural evening, and opportunities for one-on-one conversations with High Commissioners, Canadian MPs, and senators. The capstone activity will have teams of students represent each of the Commonwealth countries in a mock Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, where they will develop resolutions for the Commonwealth on this year’s chosen theme of Immigration, Migration and Refugee Issues.
